USAID to Launch Project to Combat Tibetan Unemployment

USAID is close to launching an initiative to target unemployment particularly amongst Tibetan youth. The program will be implemented by an NGO called Technoserve with assistance from CTA. It will open career and job placement centers in eight major Tibetan population centers. For more information click here

 

Empowering Tibetan Businesses

USAID and Technoserve have launched a new program to support upcoming and experienced Tibetans entrepreneurs called Empowering Tibetan Businesses (ETB). The ETB program has two components: a piece targeting businesses 3 years and older, and a business plan competition for new entreprenuers. Last date to apply is August 12, 2012. Transfer of CTSA schools to CTA

CTA's Department of Education welcomes the announcement of Govt. of India’s approval of the proposal requesting the transfer of schools under the Central Tibetan Schools Administration (CTSA) to the DoE. Kashag request all the stakeholder in the field of education to shoulder equal responsibility in raising the standard of education in Tibetan schools. More
