
Tibet Corps dhang-shab-pas peform their service with CTA departments, entitities affiliated to CTA, and selected Tibetan high schools. Primary CTA host institutions include the departments of Education, Finance, Health, Home, Information and International Relations, and Religion and Culture. Autonomous CTA entities include the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Office of Auditor General, Supreme Justice Commission, Election Commission and the Public Service Commission. Dhang-shab-pas may be based in Dharamsala or in of the field and Settlement Offices of these host institutes.
The program has also secured the participation of two Tibetan high schools: CST Mundgod and TCV Byllakuppe. Tibet Corps student dhang-shab-pas will teach basic math, english, science and other subjects to students in grades 5-12 during school vacation over a three-month period. The dhang-shab-pas will also spend a portion of their time working on small projects at the Settlement Office in the settlement where the schools are located. Programs at these two schools will start in 2013 and Tibet Corps hopes to get the participation of more schools.
In phase two, Tibet Corps plans to expand and invite selected Host Institution from TiNGOs (Tibetan NGOs).
